Alma Adelia Quillian
Alma Adelia Quillian, 94, beloved teacher, aunt and cousin, died Thursday, December 27, 2012. She was a long-time resident of Madison, Georgia.
Mrs. Quillian was born on September 21, 1918; she was a graduate of the University of Georgia where she was a charter member of Kappa Alpha Theta Chapter. She taught in the Madison and Morgan County Schools for 35 years and is remembered fondly by her former students. She was an adoring aunt to her nieces and nephews.
She was the daughter of Justice Joseph Dillard Quillian of the Georgia Supreme Court and Jeanett Evans Quillian. She is predeceased by her brothers, Dr. Joseph D. Quillian, Jr.; Judge Alfred A Quillian and Judge J. Kelley Quillian. She is survived by a sister-n-law, Elise Quillian of Winder, GA, nieces Kimberly Quillian Rogers(Wayne) of Watkinsville, GA, Terre Quillian Marshall (Gregg) of Maui, HI, Sally Quillian Yates (Comer) of Atlanta, GA, Shannon Quillian of Denver, CO, Alma Quillian, of Sandia Park, NM, Susie Quillian of Seattle, WA, Ellen Quillian Hanes (Pat) of Mesquite; and nephews, Alfred A. Quillian, Jr. (Thea) of Atlanta, GA and Jody Quillian of Dallas, TX; other great nieces and nephews, a great, great nephew and a multitude of cousins.
Funeral services will be at A.E. Carter Funeral Home Chapel in Madison, GA at 2:00PM on Friday, December 28, 2012. A.E. Carter Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
Robert John Quinn
Robert John Quinn of Madison, died March 3, 2022. He was the son of the late William and Margaret Quinn of New York. Mr. Quinn was married to the late Rebecca Quinn. Mr. Quinn was a U.S. Marine, having served in Vietnam. He was a construction supervisor, specializing in the construction of restaurants. He also owned the Apalachee Bait Shop, B&B Glass and RJ Construction. He loved fishing and cars.
Robert Quinn is survived by three sons, Dustin Quinn (Janet), Danny Quinn (Kim) and Jody Quinn. He also leaves three grandchildren, Wyatt, Gunner and Karsen. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca and a grandson, Westin.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 10 from 10-11AM at A.E. Carter Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held at 11AM in the chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warriors Project.
